About Craig Kanarick

Always in touch with what is going on and what is coming next, Craig Kanarick is an accomplished and recognized thought leader, executive, entrepreneur, and digital technology expert. His work with numerous companies, ranging from startups to Fortune 100, is characterized by the integration of technology, design and brand strategy to grow businesses through innovation. 

Possessing a unique ability to bridge strategic and creative thinking, he is best known as the co-founder of the pioneering internet services firm, Razorfish, in 1995, at the forefront of the Internet era. Under Craig's leadership as Chairman, Chief Scientist and Chief Strategic Officer, the company operated for 20 straight profitable quarters and grew annual revenues to over $250 million with almost 2200 employees in 9 countries. The firm serviced hundreds of clients including such industry leaders as Sony, AOL, Pepsi, Time Warner, Conde Nast, Nat West, IBM, Charles Schwab, Ford, Nokia, Citigroup, Revlon, Ralph Lauren and Microsoft, the current owner of Razorfish. Razorfish's success can largely be attributed to Mr. Kanarick's compelling vision, recruitment and development of premier talent, aggressive marketing, business development and seamless client-focused delivery of services.

During his seven years at Razorfish, Craig was also the Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of Razorfish Studios, a media and entertainment publisher and distributor, where he was responsible for the creative directions of books, films, tv shows, albums and websites. 

After leaving Razorfish in 2001, Craig co-founded a multi-disciplinary retail and experiential marketing studio called Studio Red at world renowned architecture firm Rockwell Group. There he built and ran a 30-person team servicing clients such as Coca-Cola, Club Med, CapitalOne, and Mercedes-Benz. He also helped co-found the Lab at Rockwell Group, with the vision of integrating digital technologies into architecture. 

Most recently, Craig spent a year as the Managing Director at Blockbuster Digital, helping the entertainment giant create a new internal technology R&D team. Craig has served on industry boards such as the New York New Media Association, Improv Technologies and Rhizome as well as being a keynote speaker at industry events and symposia around the world. 

Craig earned two undergraduate degrees at the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters Degree from the MIT Media Lab. His design work for Razorfish and Razorfish Studios was acquired to be part of the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 1999. Craig lives in New York with his wife and two children.
